Pregnancy Chiropractic in Winnipeg
Nine months is a very short amount of time to grow a whole new human, and your body continually changes over that course of time—from weight gain to hormonal shifts to a changing center of gravity. All of these changes can affect the biomechanics of your spine, leading to misalignments that interfere with normal neurologic function.
At n8 Chiropractic & Massage Therapy, we have over 20 years’ experience helping expecting moms feel and move their best so they can enjoy this special time to the fullest.
Our Gentle Approach
Dr. Darrin has four kids of his own and adjusted his wife throughout all four of her pregnancies. Along with gentle care that is tailored to your specific needs, he offers education and shares his own experiences to help our pregnant practice members understand their bodies and how chiropractic care may be able to help.
We offer low-force techniques such as NetworkSpinal and Torque Release Technique that don’t involve any twisting, cracking or popping. We may also incorporate other gentle techniques, including the Webster Technique, which is designed to restore balance to the sacrum and pelvis.
To ensure your comfort, we have special pregnancy pillows that allow you to lie comfortably face-down—many of our practice members love being on their bellies for a few minutes. But if that’s not comfortable for you, don’t worry! We can adjust while you’re sitting up. Your comfort is our priority.
Our goal for you during pregnancy is to keep you as healthy, pain-free and neurologically sound as possible. When you’re feeling less stressed, your baby is also less stressed.
Postpartum Care
We encourage our new moms to come in and get checked out a week or two after giving birth, so we can reassess your spine and nervous system function and get your body on track to heal as quickly as possible.
